Azimut Yachts recently announced the highly anticipated launch of the latest in the Azimut Grande series—the Azimut Grande 95 RPH luxury motoryacht. Made in Viareggio, Italy, the Grande collection consists of five models ranging from the 95 to the 120 SL (and apparently a 140’ in the works). Owners are lining up for this GRP-built and planing hull series, taking advantage of the semi-customization that allows owners input and collaboration with Azimut’s talented experts on both technical and design features. Azimut collaborated with famed designer Stefano Righini on the overall concept and the exterior lines, while Studio Salvagni Architetti created the interiors. Although the baby sister in the Grande collection, the Azimut 95RPH still features the sporty, sleek, iconic lines of her bigger sisters.
Azimut has earned quite the reputation for offering builds conducive to entertaining family and friends, and the Grande 95RPH is no exception. Righini intentionally created a separation between the wheelhouse and the main deck by introducing the raised pilothouse. The half-deck creates more space and maximizes privacy for the owner and guests away from the crew. The flybridge alone offers up almost 200 square feet of cruising bliss with al fresco dining for ten, a mini bar, ample areas to sun and a hot tub. Down below, ten guests are comfortably accommodated in five, luxurious ensuite staterooms. The master suite with its stunning windows and generously sized bath is located on the main deck forward (made possible by the raised pilothouse and unusual in a model this size) and the guest quarters on the lower deck. Guests are going to love the floor-to-ceiling windows in the main salon and dining area. Even a convenient day head is offered in this model.
Enjoying convenient access to the galley on the main deck, four crew members are accommodated in three cabins. The state-of-the-art engine room houses twin 2,200hp MTU 16V 2000 M84 marine engines that enable top speeds of 26.5 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots. The Azimut Grande 95RPH has a beam of 23’2” and a draft conducive to a variety of anchorages at 6’7”. A pivoting platform at the stern garage accommodates tender and toys. In addition, despite her nearly 95’, the Azimut Grande RPH still falls within the 78.74’ cut-off for registration as a pleasure craft. This creates quite a bit of cost savings when considering the financial implications of hiring a professional captain, engineer and crew in a larger vessel.
Azimut Benetti, the parent company of Azimut Grande, is the world’s largest private group in the yachting sector. This not only translates into economic and financial strength, but it also frees the group up to reinvest its profits in production without influence from shareholders, funds or parent companies. Look for the Azimut Grande 95 RPH at some of the upcoming autumn boat shows around the world. As experts in the 70’ to 140’ luxury motoryacht range, 26 North Yachts is closely watching Azimut as they begin to offer more product in our specialty range.
