Filippetti Yachts was established by Fausto Filippetti about six years ago. He was one of the original three founders of Pershing Yachts. In 2008 Fausto, with the help of daughters Martina and Giovanni, launched the first “Filippetti Yacht,” the Daemon 75.
Filippetti custom builds to exacting standards, and according to MegaYacht News, they have recently renamed their yachts to better “reflect current buying trends.”
All boats built by Filippetti will now be part of three distinct series; the “F” series, for yachts with a “flybridge,” the “S” series, for “sport” models, and the “N” series, for the Italian word “navetta,” or a traditional displacement cruiser.
The company also announced it soon will be offering more models of motor yachts in each of the series.
There are three models in the F series, the F76, F93, and F98, each named for their length in feet, putting them squarely in the popular 70 – 140 ft. range.
All of the motor yachts in the F-series have been designed by Fulvio De Simoni, who had several successful designs over the years with Pershing Yachts.
Speed and Style
The S-series may have been named for “sport,” but the “s” could just as well stand for “speed.” The twin 1,823-hp MTUs of the 75 ft. Filippetti S75 are capable of pushing the motor yacht to an impressive 55 knots. Rounding out the S-series, is the S53 and S65, with additional “s’s” for “sleek” and “swift” and “stylish.”
The N series, the N26 and N30, which are 85 and 98 ft. respectively, but this time named for their length in meters, are modern marvels based on classic Italian style and design. The N30 will be revealed at Cannes Yachting Festival, and the company has announced plans to add an N35, the largest in the line. At close to 115 ft., she will feature a five stateroom design created by Hot Lab Yacht & Design.
