Back in April 2014, we reported that Hatteras, one of our Top 10 Yachting Manufacturers, was well underway with work on their second 100 RPH. The first, MR. LOUI, launched in 2013 and made an appearance at the fall 2013 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Now, Hatteras recently announced the delivery of the second hull, and it seems that a few more hulls are to follow.
The Hatteras 100 RPH is a showcase of exquisite craftsmanship, fine furnishings and abundant on-board entertaining spaces which makes it a popular choice for this size range. In addition, the vessel interiors are highly customizable to owner preferences. For instance, the master stateroom may be placed belowdecks or on the main deck. Customization also can be reflected in a country kitchen choice and in the main salon set up.
Constructed in fiberglass like the original hull, hull number two has a curvy, low profile exterior designed in partnership with Enrico Gobbi from Italy-based Team for Design (T4Design). Hatteras boasts that the 100 RPH boasts the largest aft deck and salon in her class. With her generous interior volume and spacious outdoor spaces, popular gathering spots will be the bow observation lounge, the breezy aft deck or sun-soaked, amenity-rich flybridge (that offers some protective coverage thanks to her hardtop). The flybridge provides 360-degree views for taking in life at the docks, seascapes on the hook or a passing coastline. The aft flybridge deck can be outfitted with an additional lounge or a davit for tender and toys. Her custom interiors feature exotic hard woods, Hatteras’ renowned craftsmanship, granite countertops and fine furnishings. In the RPH 100, Hatteras has worked to maximize the influence of natural light, including a large, integrated skylight in the galley.
Hatteras offers as standard many attractive features in the 100 RPH: zero speed stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters, premium A/V system… even a stocked wine cooler, bathrobes and linens. Also standard, the 100 RPH will accommodate eight guests in a full-beam master, one VIP and two twin cabins below. A fifth cabin as a master suite can be customized on the main deck in lieu of the country kitchen mentioned above. Crew quarters are located aft of the engine room with two entries. Captain and crew have separate staterooms and heads.
Power options include twin 1,900hp Caterpillar C-32 engines for a top speed of 25 knots, a cruising speed of 19 knots and a range of 680 nautical miles. Or, a souped up version offers twin 2,600hp MTU 16V 2000 engines for a top speed of 29 knots. She draws 5’11” which gives great access to a wide array of popular ports of call.
