Glitz, glam, glitter and gunnels! It’s time for the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show 2014, Feb. 13 to 17. 26 North Yachts has a keen eye on several displays (there are more than 500 new and brokerage yachts, 60 of them over 100’), including those manufacturers in our Top 10 Manufacturer’s List that fall in our specialty area of 70’ to 140’. Here’s a rundown of some of those and a few others.
Although not in our Top 10 List, Sanlorenzo is quite prolific in our range. They’ll showcase an updated, custom version of the SL 104 that includes a fold-down terrace off the main saloon and an alternate master suite arrangement with retractable panels that offer enhanced views. Her made-to-order interior design features bleached oak, canalet walnut, Botticino marble and coffee brown stone.
ShowBoats Design Awards 2014 Finalist Sanlorenzo SD122 ALCHEMIST TOO will also be on display with her flooring finished in Canaletto chestnut and interior commissioned by Minotti. She’s currently the flagship in her series.
We shared in a previous post the inventory Hargrave (in our Top 10) was featuring at the show. In short, they’ll premier two new models which will bring their display total to 10 yachts (new and pre-owned). They’ll range from 76’ to 125’, and they include four Raised Pilothouses (125’, 114’, 101’, 85’), two Flush Decks (82’, 76’) and three Sky Lounges (101’, 84’, 81’). In addition, they will world premiere the new 2014 80’ Monte Fino – Monocle Edition, as part of a fractional yacht ownership program.
Hargrave will exhibit their newest generation Hargrave 101’ Raised Pilothouse (built on spec) with an exciting new exterior look from Black Designs combined with many performance and major new technological enhancements, in addition to updated interiors from Yacht Interiors by Shelley in Fort Lauderdale. In this model, Hargrave looks to appeal to a new generation of custom yacht buyers in this size range by delivering a product that “jumped out at those buyers,” according to the company. It looks like they’ll be targeting a customer that is accustomed to highly-styled sport boats with definite shapes and curves.
Also not on our Top 10 List but offering quite a few motoryachts in our specialty range, UK-based Princess Yachts will globally debut the first of the new S Series (‘S’ for ‘Sportsbridge’ Series), the Princess S72. They chose Miami in order to attract a younger, edgier clientele to show off the flair of the S72. Princess says the range represents the ability, quality and design already displayed in the Flybridge and V Class models. With an advanced deep-V hull design and lower profile, she’ll demonstrate a high level of luxury with sleek but practical upper helm position and large tender garage with integrated sunpad. Hull #2 is already in production.
After premiering overseas a few years ago, the Princess 98 Motor Yacht will now premiere on this side of the pond. Her vast and highly customizable flybridge makes for an ideal entertaining space (as does the wheelhouse) while beautifully finished interiors and panoramic windows compete for guests indoors.
