We continue our Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show 2014 rundown in Part III. Click here if you missed Parts I and II. The show runs Feb. 13 to 17. 26 North Yachts has a keen eye on several displays (there are more than 500 new and brokerage yachts, 60 of them over 100’), including those manufacturers in our Top 10 Manufacturer’s List that fall in our specialty area of 70’ to 140’. Here’s a rundown of some of those and a few others.
On 26 North Yachts’ Top 10 List, Hatteras will display their entire GT Series, the 60MY, the 80MY and the new 100RPH. With a spacious interior and well thought out spaces, the Hatteras 60MY is manageable for owner-operators. The main salon easily flows into the galley and living area. Three staterooms (including a 130 square-foot full beam master amidships) and two heads accommodate guests easily. She’s a great Hatteras starter boat in the series.
Add 20 feet, and the Hatteras 80 MY gives more entertainment areas, more luxury, more layout choices, enhanced technical systems and enhanced style. The enclosed, expansive flybridge Sky Lounge tops the vessel at three stories, offering 360-degree visibility. Down below on the main deck, passengers will delight in the enlarged salon/dinette area and country kitchen galley.
Stepping up to the flagship of the Motor Yacht line, the Hatteras 100 RPH, more custom options exist for specialized configurations such as a main deck master and in the country kitchen and main salon. She already makes a unique styling statement in her curvy, low profile exterior thanks to the design team of famed Italian designer Enrico Gobbi and the Italy-based Team for Design (T4Design).
Not to be left in the wake, Chinese builder Cheoy Lee will proudly show the 76’ Alpha Flybridge, the 87’ Express Sport Bridge and the 88’ Bravo. With a clever three stateroom galley up layout and interiors by Luiz de Bast, the Alpha 76 Flybridge delivers great performance in a Michael Peters-designed hull topping out at 37 knots. Last year, she received a nomination for the 2013 International Yacht and Aviation Awards.
After making her world premiere at the fall Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the Alpha 87 Express Sportbridge heads to Miami to wow new admirers. She is a versatile sport bridge yet offers flybridge features as well as custom build quality in the container of an express yacht. She’s got the extra length and volume that allows for four spacious and well-appointed staterooms belowdecks, equally spacious dining area, galley, main salon and helm all on the main deck.
Designed by Michael Burvenich, the luxury yacht Bravo 88 boasts four staterooms with luxury interiors by Sylvia Bolton. Powered by twin C32 Acert 1900s, she’ll achieve 24 knots with top speeds of 28 knots. Cheoy Lee is also a 26 North Yachts favorite on our Top 10 Manufacturers List.
Last but not least, 26 North Yachts’ Top Manufacturer Ocean Alexander will offer the 90 Motoryacht. Luxury, grace and intimate relating with her maritime environment are qualities that stand out in this vessel. Even more compelling is the backing of 30 years of Ocean Alexander obsession in the areas of hydrdynamic science, naval design, refinement, craftsmanship and technological advancement.
