As specialists in the 70’ to 140’ motoryacht range, 26 North Yachts has noted the following on display at the 2013 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Both Benetti and Hargrave made 26 North Yachts’ Top 10 List.
Tampa-based Lazzara has replaced the luxury yacht LSX92 with the LSX95, and she’ll premiere at the Fort Lauderdale show. This is the third Lazzara motoryacht for her owner. Trademark Lazzara, she represents a high level of quality, customization and innovation. Lazzara enthusiasts will note the new extended flybridge with bar, Jacuzzi and fixed hardtop. The main salon has been extended thanks to the increased length and the lower helm removed to create maximum space on the main deck. Her exterior will reflect sporty lines with the three, bold vertical hull windows in the owner’s suite which also features a dramatic fold-down balcony. The LSX95 accommodates three additional guest staterooms. Opening the transom reveals a tender which if removed creates a beach club space lined in teak. A few paces from the salon is an atrium-like galley and dining area with vaulted 14’ ceiling. Performance information was not readily available however one guess might be the LSX92 configuration of quadruple Volvo Penta IPS 900s for speeds in excess of 30 knots.
The Azimut | Benetti Group is boasting a fleet of 21 yachts on display, including a world premiere of Benetti’s Vision 145 Checkmate, the flagship of the Class Range. Azimut | Benetti Group has been undergoing organizational changes including the naming of Eng. Fabrizio Scerch as the new Americas Country Manager for Benetti brand. Azimut | Benetti explained that they’ll be beefing up their sales and after-sales service and enhancing broker relationships to assist the boat owner in the entire life cycle of their yacht.
Azimut is really playing up the Azimut 80 which first caught the eye of the European set during this past boat show season. It was also awarded the 2013 World Yachts Trophy, sponsored by the LuxMedia Publishing Group, for “the most functional yacht in the 24- to 50- meter category.” Owners will enjoy semi-customization with four different styles from which to choose. She’ll accommodate a total of eight or nine guests in four cabins and five bathrooms. Azimut will also have the Azimut Flybridge 70 on display.
Azimut’s Grande 100 sports the same quality, performance and craftsmanship as her bigger sisters in this collection of planing yachts. With her standard, twin 2,000-mhp MTU 16V 2000 M84s she’ll top 30 mph, but she’ll power ahead just a bit easier with a cruise speed of 26 mph. The Grande 100 can be configured with four or five cabins. Owners choosing four cabins will enjoy a two-story suite. Other spaces can be reconfigured for workout room, media room, private salon or studio. Great, accessible seating is placed throughout including dining area on the flying bridge with seating for ten (and a Jacuzzi), cockpit dining area and main salon. A retractable swim platform can accommodate tenders up to about 15 feet.
Benetti will have AZUL, a 2012 Delfino 93 motoryacht on display. She actually measures 93’6” and can accommodate up to 10 in five suites (all en-suite). Interiors come courtesy of Carlo Galeazzi with exteriors by Stefano Righini. The Benetti Delfino 93 combines great comfort, styling and state-of-the-art technology. Thanks to her ingenious design, the Delfino 93 packs more on board akin to some of her larger sisters on the sea. One of the power options for her is a twin MAN v8 1,000 configuration turbo-charged at 735kW @2,300 rpms.
Not to be outdone, Hargrave is clucking about their hefty line up at the show, including the 125′ 2013 Hargrave Custom Raised Pilothouse motoryacht, GIGI II. In brief (watch for a fuller review of her coming soon), she sports European styling that utilizes full, wrap-around windows which guests greatly appreciate. She’ll accommodate up to eight guests in four staterooms. Her twin, CAT C-32 ACERT 1825hp engines provide great performance in this model.
BOPS, Hargrave’s new 2014 101′ motoryacht, will also be on the docks (looks like SPREADING THE LOVE will not be on display as we originally reported). She features a country kitchen, four guest suites (including full-beam master) and the next generation of CAT engines (1,800 hp) that give 21-knot performance. Taller guests will appreciate the 7’2” of headroom on the main deck. Last but not least, Hargrave’s 2013 Flush Deck VICTORIANO (76′) will be on display. She features walk-around access, twin Cat C-18 TAs, four staterooms, open bridge and a newly-designed Jack Sarin Hull.
