Blog | New Yachts to be Debuted at Yachts Miami Beach 2017

Coming up on its second year as “Yachts Miami Beach,” the 2017 edition of what was formerly known as the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show promises to be even bigger and better than last year!

The 2017 boating event is set to take place February 16-20 on Collins Avenue, across from the Fontainebleau and Eden Roc hotels.  As always, “Yachts Miami Beach,” takes place during the same weekend as the “Miami International Boat Show,” which is often cause for confusion. But this is, and always has been a distinct show.

Yachts Miami Beach 2017 will span more than a mile along Collins Avenue from 41st Street to 54th Street. Entry to the show is $20 per person per day. New for this year, guests can arrive at the show aboard water taxis, connected to new, convenient parking locations.

For its second year, Yachts Miami Beach will feature a display of superyachts at Island Gardens Deep Harbour on Watson Island, located on I- 395/MacArthur Causeway. This invitation-only “show within a show,” known as Super Yacht Miami, will feature some of the boat show’s largest yachts. Interested guests can make appointments for yacht tours by contacting exhibitors with displays at the venue, or Show Management. More than 20 superyachts will be on display at this location, which can accommodate yachts up to 500 feet.

New Yachts and New Yacht Makers

Among the hundreds of boats on display, Yachts Miami Beach 2017 will see the debut of an entirely new brand of motor yacht, as well as the debut of several new yachts from known yacht makers.

Sirena Yachts, the new luxury yacht brand of the Turkish shipbuilder, Sirena Marine, will present the world debut of its Sirena 56, and the US debut of the Sirena 64.  The two models have been designed by two of the best designers on the international scene: Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering, who were responsible for naval architecture, exterior design, and engineering, and Spadolini Design Studio who did the interior design.

British yacht maker, Fairline Yachts, announced it will debut the third variant in its 53-foot range, the Squadron 53. The boat is based on the existing 53-foot hull, but features a new design from the deck upward, courtesy of famed superyacht designer Alberto Mancini.

Cruisers Yachts, a division of Wisconsin based, KCS International, Inc., plans to introduce its latest Cantius model at the show. “We are thrilled to keep the momentum going in our Cantius line,” said Dan Zenz, vice president of sales at KCS International, Inc. “The 50 Cantius is a perfectly sized addition that bridges the gap between the 45 Cantius and 54 Cantius.”
