Palmer Johnson Yachts, now based entirely in Europe, still maintains its reputation for groundbreaking innovation.
Just before the close of 2016, the company announced it was working on its first dayboat, designed to appeal to the yacht owner who prefers a weekend cruiser, to a large motor yacht designed for longer voyages.
But the newly announced PJ 63 Sport is certainly not “short” on luxury or performance. “The concept of the PJ 63 Sport was to create a jewel in the water — bringing the know-how and quality of our larger yachts into something that was more accessible to people, giving them the opportunity of owning a Palmer Johnson,” said Berkeley March, head of design, in a company press release.
More Details on the Palmer Johnson PJ 63 Sport
The sleek and sexy PJ 63 Sport delivers top speeds of 36 knots from its Volvo Penta IPS “pod-drive” diesels. She has a 21 foot beam, which Palmer Johnson says is the largest open deck for a yacht in her class.
Her elongated, stealthy exterior gives the PJ 63 a head turning profile. As conceived, she will have ample seating, sizable sunpads, and a swim platform with expansive space for rest and relaxation. Below deck, she can accommodated four guests, in two spacious cabins. Estimated price for the standard model will be a cool $2.75 million.
