Enjoying a high coming in at number 2 again on the Top 30 Builders List in the Showboats International 2015 Global Order Book, Sanlorenzo is also celebrating the new SD126 (38m), built on the success of the SD122. Themes of Marty A. Lowe’s sleek, sexy signature design, “Celebrating the Sea” and “Being One with the Sea,” can be found throughout this luxury yacht, which is a reflection of a close partnership with the owner. Potential buyers are flocking to Sanlorenzo thanks to their attention-grabbing styling, interior design, fit and finish.
Start, for instance, with the sun-, light- and fresh air-filled interior spaces thanks to larger window line profiles, a salon terrace that opens and gull-wing, hull side opening windows in the master salon. No stuffy, closed in stale interiors cut off from the light of day in the Sanlorenzo SD126!
Walk the 40’ of the main salon that dramatically opens to the aft deck and includes a dining area that seats 12 forward. For another entertaining option, visit the comfortable upper deck salon with glass that can be opened fully to the outdoors.
Her five staterooms accommodate 12 in a full-beam master (with spa shower system from Dornbracht) on the main deck and two VIP queens and two twins on the lower deck. The Sanlorenzo SD126 can also generously accommodate up to seven with a captain’s cabin on the upper deck aft off the pilothouse (very popular setup with captains). Full attention has also been given to the exterior spaces with inclusion of new elements like enhanced bow lounge area (with optional spa pool), hardtop-covered flybridge spa pool, dining and grilling areas, enlarged swim platform, optimum television viewing and bar tops for comfortable entertaining.
The Sanlorenzo SD126 is a semi-displacement, composite, tri-deck motoryacht. Engine options include twin MTU 12V 2000 M72 1080kW @2250 rpm, 10V 2000 M94 1193kW @2450 and 12V 2000 M93 1340 kW @2450. Engines in these ranges will yield max speeds from 16 knots to 18 knots, optimal cruising at 11 knots and max ranges from 2,350 nm to 3,000 nm.
Cantieri Navali Sanlorenzo Spa was established in Viareggio, Italy, in 1958, manufacturing all of its boats in wood until 1985 when they began building with fiberglass. In 1999, the company added an environmentally friendly shipyard on the Migra River in Ameglia (La Spezia) that today concentrates on 62- to 118-foot fiberglass megayachts. In 2005, they built a new production facility in Viareggio that now builds Navettas with semi-displacement hulls (SD range) from 92 to 122 feet and superyachts in metal (aluminum and steel) from 125 feet to 164 feet and over. Two years later, Viareggio launched its first models—the SD 92, first semi-displacement in fiberglass, and the 40 Alloy first metal motoryacht. Sanlorenzo has more recently expanded into China and the Middle East and gone head-to-head in Spain and in the UK with brands like Sunseeker and Princess. 26 North Yachts will continue to closely monitor this brand’s continued expansion and growth in the “made-to-measure” 70’ to 140’ range that we specialize in. Sanlorenzo has 48 new build projects averaging 116’ in 2015; they had 39 in 2014.
