The 2013 Fort Lauderdale boat show is nearly here. The docks are in place and many of the yachts are already tied up. Attendees are beginning to arrive from all over the world. If you’re still looking to finalize your builder itinerary, below are the newest and most interesting yachts from the builders on the 26 North Yachts’ Top 10 list.
10. Marlow, B/C Dock 1-2,18-21
Marlow will display five yachts during this year’s show. The yachts will be both new launches and brokerage vessels and range from 32 to 97 feet. The 80-foot explorer Paws for Life will debut.
9. Hatteras, C Dock 335, 335A-I
Fort Lauderdale will be the debut for two big changes for Hatteras. After two years in the making, the 100-foot raised pilot motoryacht will debut. The new partnership between Hattaras and Cabo yachts will also be promoted. With a tip of the hat to the past, the yard will display the 41-footer that launched the yard, Knit Wits. In addition, Hatteras has brought five of its salty sportfishermen to display this year, ranging from 54 to 80 feet.
8. Hargrave, LOM A Dock 2-10 and LOM A Dock Booth 104A
The always-bustling Hargrave booth packs in the yachts and calls all hands on deck to assist clients and visitors. This year will be no different with nine yachts on display.
7. Outer Reef, B/C Dock 10,12,13
Outer Reef will have three of their custom-built yachts on display. The yachts on display will be 70, 72, and 85 feet.
6. Benetti, Face Dock 13,13A-B
Benetti will have two yachts on display, as unfortunately the third scheduled yacht a 132-footer, is unable to attend. Visitors won’t be disappointed though. The Delfino 93 (above, bottom) is a beautiful example of the yard’s semicustom work, and the 143-foot Checkmate (above, top) demonstrates the other half of the yard’s acumen, the custom boatbuilding side.
