The “unofficial” yet highly anticipated “yacht show season” kicks off this week with the Monaco Yacht show. The 26th Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) begins on Wednesday 9/28 and runs for 4 days of superyachts, beautiful people, and cocktail parties. The world’s premier showcase for superyachts, there will be $1.8 billion worth of boats up for sale at this spectacular yachting event.
Yachts on Display at MYS
This year, the most expensive yacht up for sale will be the 256-foot Lurssen, TV, with an asking price of $92 million. In close second is another Lurssen yacht, this one the 230-foot Martha Ann, which was built in 2008 for real estate developer, Warren E. Halle, and is now going for $79 million. New Zealand billionaire, Graeme Hart’s 350-foot Ulysses, will also be center stage with a price tag of $195,000,000.
There will also of course be brand new yachts available such as Mondomarine’s 197-foot Sarastar, that will be joined by what may be the largest yacht to ever be built in Spain, the 180-foot Quinta Essentia.
Other must see luxury motor yachts at the show include, Feadship’s Vanish, a 217-foot motor yacht, that according to Superyacht World, has been “seen happily cruising and chartering all summer, even playing host to one of music’s biggest celebrities back in August.”
As usual, in addition to the complete list of yachts, there will also be an abundance of booths and exhibitors offering everything from fine watches and jewelry to newly developed virtual reality technology for yachts!
