In 1967, Jack Newington launched the first Fairline Yacht, a 19-foot handcrafted river cruiser. In the 1970s, English motor yacht builder Fairline launched its family of cruising boats with the Phantom line, the first Targa in the mid-‘80s, and the Squadron in the early ‘90s. During their proud history of excellence, quality, and integrity, Fairline has launched over 12,000 yachts employing advanced construction and engineering techniques, exquisite craftsmanship, and the latest design trends and developments. Fairline chooses unique woods polished with up to eight coats of lacquer and utilizes a lengthy hand lay up for GRP. Better Capital and RBS purchased Fairline in July 2011.
Fairline currently offers two series: Targa (38 feet to 58 feet) and Squadron (42 feet to 80 feet). Targa is a modern express cruiser showcasing power, performance, and large, luxurious living areas. The Targa model comes in the Open form or Gran Turismo, with retractable hard top design, in models 38 Open Targa, 38 GT Targa, 44 Open Targa, 44 GT Targa, 50 GT Targa, and 58 GT Targa.
The sophisticated Squadron flybridge series represents exclusivity, elegance, and performance, exhibiting open, sociable living areas. Models include the 42 Squadron, 50 Squadron, 58 Squadron, 65 Squadron, 78 Custom Squadron, and 80 Custom Squadron. The 80 Custom Squadron, with its large aft doors, is built for socializing and entertaining, boasting a flat floor design that has enabled designers to create flowing, elegant social area.
