The Picchiotti family has been building boats since the 17th century, however Giuseppe Picchiotti & Sons was officially founded in 1907 and renamed Cantieri Navale Arno in 1935. During war time, Picchiotti produced military boats and emerged from the rubble of a torched shipyard to build pleasure boats in the 1970s, becoming known as Leopard Yachts. After four centuries at the original Arno River yard, Leopard Yachts is now located near Pisa and is still family run. Leopard Yachts prides itself on innovation, tradition, hand-crafted artisanship, and state-of-the-art technology in its luxury, semi-custom motoryachts. As a planing yacht, Leopards are designed with a deep “v” hull which increases the vessel’s stability and hydro jet propulsion for better, safer, quieter performance.
Today, the Leopard Yacht range includes the Leopard 34m, the Leopard 46m, and the new Leopard 56m, however former models include the Leopard 32 and the Leopard 43. The Leopard 34m (112 feet) is an open yacht featuring a design that optimizes circulation on board to ensure guest privacy. The open-fly yacht Leopard 46m (142 feet) features a main deck owner’s suite and a garage that can hold a tender of almost 16.5 feet, in addition to other watersports gear. The flagship, triple-deck Leopard 56m (183 feet) boasts a contemporary profile and interior design, modern yet functional materials for the guest areas, pool on the flybridge, and wide sunbathing areas.
