About Hakvoort Yachts
Netherlands-based Hakvoort owes its beginnings to Albert Klzn Hakvoort who, in 1919, purchased a shipyard that launched its first vessel from the Monnickendam shipyard in 1780. With a start in fishing boats, Hakvoort ventured into pleasure boats as demand grew. A family-based business, from top brass to traditional Dutch craftsmen, who have been building for generations means that ingrained shipbuilding expertise and pride goes into every Hakvoort. Exquisite interiors are crafted by Unlimited Interiors, Hakvoort’s own joinery workshop.
Hakvoort builds luxury motoryachts and sailing yachts up to 190 feet. Currently under construction YN 247, at 130 feet long, features a fold-out swim platform, full-beam master stateroom, and owner’s study on the main deck. In 2011, Hakvoort launched the 128-foot “SnowbirD,” a luxury ocean-going motoryacht with steel hull and aluminum superstructure. She features an outdoor Jacuzzi, an open plan main lounge dining area setup, and a bridge deck that opens to a relaxing aft area with built-in seating and tables. “MIRGAB VI” launched in 2010 is 160 feet of cruising performance and interior comfort—including elevator. She also features generous outdoor spaces for panoramic views of passing scenery and is built to meet Lloyd’s regulations for special service craft. The 147 Pamela V launched in 2011 offers a lavish sundeck, well-appointed owner’s deck and spacious main deck, and all cabins with luxurious ensuite facilities.
Hakvoort’s new slipway will allow the construction of superyachts up to 58 meters (190 feet). In fact, a 55-meter (180 feet) superyacht has been designed and if commissioned will be Hakvoort’s largest and most stylish, accommodating 12 guests in six staterooms, complete with helipad and two Jacuzzi pools.
