About Mangusta Yachts

Overmarine Group Shipyard builds Mangusta yachts, the largest maxi-open yachts on the market and part of the superyacht Rodriguez Group which launched in 1986. Delivering on luxury and performance, Mangusta continues to set new standards in the industry for design and manufacturing of these luxury yachts that deliver on speed and ease of use. Mangusta is based in Viareggio, Italy offering a range of six maxi-opens from 72 feet to now 205, a ship of 148 feet, and a new mega-open 205. All of their creations are fully customizable, and achievable speeds of over 50 knots are not uncommon.

Mangusta hulls are designed in house and tested in major European test tanks. Lamination is also handled in house using axial fiberglass as well as the advanced production process of infusion. Craftsmanship and carpentry reflect the highest standards.  A new facility in Darsena Pisana will accommodate building and outfitting yachts measuring over 196 feet, including the new Mangusta 205, the largest open superyacht ever built, accommodating up to 12 guests and 12 crew. Other custom built aluminum and steel megayacht construction will follow including new mega-open yachts to round out the Maxi Open range from 72 feet to 165 feet and the displacement yacht flying bridge Mangusta Oceano 148 with a flybridge.

The newer Mangusta 92 in the Maxi Open series exhibits a combination of elegance, class, and speed in her perfectly proportioned hull powered by twin MTU 16V2000M94 2600 HP engines and two Kamewa 56S3 hydrojets, taking her to top speeds of 40 knots—with a draft of less than 5’25”. Interiors are marked by modern touches, large spaces, and wengé flooring in the lounge and cabins.

The Mangusta 165 is the largest fiberglass open yacht ever built, and this model combines state-of-the-art technology with extreme comfort and speeds up to 39 knots, topped off with a well-equipped and ergonomic pilot house. Overmarine’s first displacement yacht the Mangusta Oceano 148 is a transoceanic yacht with a range of 4,000 nautical miles reaching 16 knots. Utilizing the most modern technologies and the most advanced on-board equipment, the Mangusta Oceano 148 offers layout and interiors that can be completely personalized and with 30% more walkable space than similar yachts.
