Founded in Taiwan in 1977, Ocean Alexander (OA) was named for its visionary founder, Alex Chueh, who had a renowned commitment to cutting-edge engineering. In 1978, the company delivered its first vessel – a 50-foot fiberglass motoryacht designed by Ed Monk Jr. Today, early Ocean Alexander examples sell for triple their original price. Under the direction of Alex’s son, Johnny Chueh, since 2000, Ocean Alexander continues to push boundaries with the world’s finest naval architects and designers. They maintain a relentless commitment to advanced engineering, safety and performance.

Today, they produce aluminum, steel and composite yachts from 70 to 100 feet, and superyachts from 112 to 155 feet, at shipyards in both Taiwan and the U.S. A 112-foot OA motoryacht was shortlisted in the 2015 International Yacht & Aviation Awards. 26 North Yachts has visited OA’s global manufacturing facilities numerous times to witness their craftsmanship and innovation firsthand, and we’re proud to work with them continuously on custom client builds and resales of these exceptional vessels.
