Not surprisingly, 2020 was a very different type of year to remember at 26 North Yachts. We’re taking a look back at some of the things we’re proud to have accomplished in 2020.

Naked Warrior Project Fishing Tournament

This year, 26 North Yachts again co-hosted the Naked Warrior Project Fishing Tournament. While the tournament was originally planned for April, the global pandemic caused the rescheduling of the tournament to June. We saw many familiar faces, and many new faces out for an enjoyable day of fishing in South Florida, and we helped raise money for the Naked Warrior Project’s cause. We look forward to hosting the tournament again in 2021.

Boat Shows

This year saw the cancellation of the Palm Beach International Boat Show in March, and there was much uncertainty about the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Although it looked very different this year than in years past, 26 North Yachts was at FLIBS 2020 with a variety of yachts for sale. We are glad to have seen you all on the docks at FLIBS, and look forward to seeing you all again at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in March 2021.

Broker of the Year: Bill Powers

Our congratulations go to broker Bill Powers, our 26 North Yachts broker of the year! Bill has represented clients on both the buying and selling side this year with professionalism and hard work — resulting in great outcomes and happy clients.

Notable Deals

146’ Trinity “Bacchus” – Bacchus was sold in July 2020 with broker Nicholas Scherb representing the seller. The Trinity was listed on the market for less than 6 months, which is a remarkably quick time to sell a yacht of this caliber. Bacchus was asking $13.599 million.

101’ Hargrave “Gratitude” – Broker Bill Powers represented the buyers in a deal with Hargrave Custom Yachts for the 2014 yacht. The deal was finalized in December, and her new owners are enjoying the Hargrave already. “Gratitude” was asking $5.4 million.

80’ Lazzara “Mojo” – Mojo was sold in-house with broker Bill Powers representing the buyer, and co-owner Mike Carlson representing the seller. The yacht, which had been on the market with another brokerage house previously, was sold in less than 3 months once 26 North Yachts acquired the listing. Mojo was asking $2.55 million.

53’ Uniesse “GRT2FLY” – It is unusual to hear that a yacht was sold over the asking price, but that is the case with this Uniesse. Listed for under 3 months, broker Josh Marshall represented the seller in a bidding war which resulted in a great outcome for the seller! “GRT2FLY” was asking $499,000.
