This morning at 11:17 a.m. EDT, “Angiamo”, the globe-battling 2003 140′ Feadship, was officially sold. A massive congratulations is due Nicholas Scherb, who got her off the market in just six months – a stunningly short period of time for a yacht of Angiamo’s caliber.

Nicholas, co-owner of 26 North Yachts, has now sold three Feadships over the course of his career, making him the youngest yacht broker in recorded history to accomplish that feat. Way to go Nicholas!

“Angiamo” is a well-known name in yachting circles for a number of reasons. Launched in 2003, this groundbreaking 140′ vessel was the very first expedition yacht built by Feadship. She boasts an ice-strengthened steel hull, a host of redundant systems, and a 4,700nm “go anywhere” range – enabling her to visit parts of the globe that 99.9% of motor yachts on Earth wouldn’t even consider. “Angiamo” was built to a Lloyd’s 100 A1 Classification and can easily brought into MCA class.

Not surprisingly, this Feadship was the work of two industry giants – Doug Sharp (naval architecture) and Glade Johnson (interior). Both men would likely be pleased to know that the entire vessel, without exception, has been treated to the finest maintenance that money and acumen can provide. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons she was sold so quickly?

Given her extraordinarily robust constitution, as well as her aforementioned maintenance regimen, “Angiamo” is ready for a circumnavigation on very short notice – and we sincerely hope that her new owners are already planning such a trip. A yacht like “Angiamo” was simply not meant to spend too much time cruising locally.
