The French Riviera (or Côte d’Azur, en français) is the Mediterranean coast of southeastern France. It includes such glamorous locales as Saint-Tropez, Cannes, and Monaco. From the 18th century to the 1960s, the French Riviera morphed from a health retreat for wealthy Parisians to a full-blown global destination for aristocrats, artists, and actors. It remains a stylish hot spot to this very day.
