The all-new Hatteras 90 motor yacht has been one of the most highly anticipated new yacht launches of 2017.  The new Hatteras 90 Motor Yacht, was designed to fill a niche between the Hatteras 70, and the Hatteras 100 Raised Pilot House, both of which share similar profiles. By all accounts, the yacht, which according to the manufacturer, is a “stunning open-concept featuring a crisp, light-filled interior that strikes a perfect balance of dramatic form and ingenious function,” is living up to all expectations.

Part of the reason for the new Hatteras 90’s success is its unique interior lighting and digital control package provided by a partnership with Crestron and AHT Global, a global technology integrator, to produce the new M90 motor yacht, outfitted with Crestron technology. Creston is known for providing outstanding automation and control solutions for buildings, homes and marine applications, that allow for the control of “entire operational environments” integrating systems such as A/V, lighting, IT, security, and HVAC, to provide greater comfort, convenience, and security.

For the Hatteras 90, the system provides “a robust control system which allows owners to have control of AV, lights, shades, pools and hot tubs, security cameras, motorized awnings and more.”  Hatteras Yachts’ President and CEO, Grindle, said, “The new Hatteras M90 Motor Yacht is one of the most innovative vessels we have ever launched. We are delighted with the results of our collaboration with Crestron and AHT Global.”

Other Unique Features of the Hatteras 90

According to Hatteras, the 90 “creates an amazing interplay between the interior and exterior spaces, which include a modular bar on the aft deck and ample lounging space on the side decks and bow.” The 90 incorporates an inspiring range of global design influences to create new uses of living, dining and entertaining spaces.”  Her unique features include signature skylights as well as a sweeping staircase to an expansive bridge. An amazing synergy is created between the interior and exterior spaces, which include a modular bar on the aft deck and ample lounging space on the side decks and bow. The impact of the massive 22’6″ beam is felt throughout, including in the four luxurious staterooms.

She will be powered by a pair of 1,600hp Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines.
