“New to the luxury yachting scene, NISI Yachts is based in Nassau, Bahamas, with its shipyard located in Zhuhai China, a pleasant one-hour ferry ride from Hong Kong. It was founded by young Greek venture capitalist Christos Livadas, an experienced offshore yachtsman, and boatbuilder, who has taken a fresh approach to megayacht construction. He has aspired to create “simple yachts that connect yachtsmen to the sea.”
Interior design is paramount at NISI with custom-designed furnishings and fixtures in sophisticated, soothing color palettes that are anything but generic. The quality craftsmanship and understated elegant designs reflect the standard appointments usually reserved for larger luxury vessels. NISI brings nautical beauty inside with generous open plans, large windows, and a light, airy feel. Engineering and technical aspects are noted as well, with an advanced composite Kevlar hulls, acoustic considerations, coopernickel plumbing , and aerospace-insulated engine rooms. Designs yield from a collaboration with renowned naval architect Ward Setzer of the Setzer Design Group.
NISI is crafted on a limited production basis in three models or custom-produced. Light, sleek, and owner-manageable, the NISI 2200 at 68 feet is a Zen-like retreat with a spa-like atmosphere. The NISI 2400 at 80 feet boasts award-winning contemporary design with a 1,500 mile range and the only sub-80 foot yacht built to RINA Charter and MCA Commercial certification. The NISI 2600 at 86 feet features generous exterior spaces, panoramic vistas, state-of-the-art technology, a covered wheelhouse, and SkyHook—an innovative station-keeping function that is the first of its kind in the recreational genre.
