Premier luxury megayacht builder Oceanfast Yachts is based in Australia and owned by parent company Austal since 1999. Commencing operations in 1988, Austal has been a leading manufacturer of high-performance, aluminum-hulled vessels for defense and commercial use. Its shipyards are located in western Australia, Mobile, Alabama (US), and the Philippines. Oceanfast delivers on customization and flexibility, the latest technological innovations, a skilled workforce, and punctuality on delivery.
Oceanfast currently offers two ranges of semi-custom private vessels: the Oceanfast 48 and the Oceanfast 36. With a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots, the Oceanfast 48 (157’5”) maneuvers long ranges with ease, with a full or scaled back crew. Her twin MTU 2000 M72s can attain top speeds of 16 knots. Guests and owners appreciate the modern styling and the 26-foot, full beam main saloon that gives the feeling of a much greater yacht. The Oceanfast 36 (118’) sleeps up to 11 guests with five crew. Her twin MTU 8V 2000 M72s push 16 knots and navigate 3,000 nautical mile ranges at 12 knots.
A well-noted Oceanfast, ex. Aussie Rules, was built for golf-pro Greg Norman. The 228-foot aluminum, displacement expedition style yacht features a home theatre, a gym, decompression chamber in the lazarette, accommodation for seven boats (including aft deck housing for a 42-foot sportfisherman), and jet-skis. She comfortably sleeps and entertains 12 guests in six cabins and boasts a range of 5,000 nautical miles. Custom built Fortunate Sun (ex. Perfect Prescription) sports a Tim Heywood design at 177 feet and an 8’11” draft. In addition to accommodating 10 guests in seven suites, she can carry up to 12 crew onboard.
