In 1997, Proteksan Yachts merged with Turquoise Yacht Construction forming the largest luxury superyacht builder in Turkey with a growing reputation worldwide. Hulls, typically steel with aluminum superstructure, are built in the Celik facility and delivered across the bay to the Pendik facility where final fit-out and commissioning is completed. Proteksan Turquoise offers talented in-house design teams in addition to working with customer’s preferred designers. Other talented assistance comes from experienced and highly qualified interior fit-out specialists, highly qualified engineers, and project managers. Proteksan Turquoise prides itself on efficient engineering practices, investment in research and development, modern facilities, engineering equipment, and digital systems to provide their luxury product at a sensible cost.
Proteksan Turquoise’s fleet is diverse, from superyachts and expedition yachts to new classics. With the assistance of designer and naval architect Ed Dubois, then Turquoise Yachts launched Turkey’s first luxury 50-meter (164 feet) superyacht “Turquoise” in the late ‘90s. Superyachts in the 60 to 70 meter range (197 to 230 feet), expedition yachts such as “Leo Fun” and “Vindrea,” and new classics like “Vajoliroja” have been launched from Proteksan Turquoise.
Proteksan Turquoise currently has the Proteksan Turquoise NB54 Vicky (238 feet), the NB55 (246 feet), and the NB56 (164 feet) “in the shed.” One of the superyachts on the drawing board is the 177-foot Proteksan Turquoise Pro Plumb with her plumb bow, unique styling of round curves, bellied balconies, fold-down bulwarks, and large forward tender garage.
