In 2003, Texas business man Don Davis purchased the Canadian manufacturing facility on the Fraser River in Vancouver previously used by Sovereign Yachts, reopening it as Richmond Yachts. Specializing in custom, top-of-the-line, fiberglass motoryachts, Richmond Yachts can build up to four composite yachts from 120 to 155 feet in length.
In 2010, Richmond Yachts launched the 150-foot tri-deck “Status Quo,” successor to the 2003 138-foot model with the same name. It was the largest FRP-constructed yacht to be built in Canada. She sleeps 12 guests in six staterooms and carrying 10 crew.
