This week’s Palm Beach International Boat Show will feature hundreds of yachts, but only a handful could be considered truly noteworthy, paradigm-shifting vessels. “Angiamo”, the 2003 140′ Feadship, is unquestionably in this category. She was the first expedition yacht ever built by Feadship, and that alone would qualify her. But the fact that Angiamo has the capabilities required to find herself in proximity to an iceberg is, well, just the tip of the iceberg.

Angiamo features the types of amenities that one would expect to see on a world-class motor yacht – and some, like an industrial-scale full-beam galley, that one would not. Like the rest of the boat, these amenities remain in exceptional condition, thanks to a maintenance program that could, in the years ahead, very well come to define “best practices” for motor yachts in this class.
