Burger Boat Company Floats New Designs
Any company celebrating a 150th anniversary has got to offer some solid experience and quality. Burger Boat Company is no exception, and they’ve recently announced some new designs, shoring up a reputation for fresh innovation in their custom builds. Collaborating with Gregory C. Marshall, Burger has announced a new family of luxury motor yachts in a range from 88’ to 157’ (27 to 48 meters). In this new range, Burger is appealing to owners who enjoy yachting without the challenges of large yacht ownership, keeping these new vessels small and simpler to run.
The new 115’ (35 meter) raised pilothouse in the range will accommodate up to ten guests in five cabins—and remain below the 200 gross tonne mark for less regulated cruising. With a contemporary design on this classic offering that focuses upon the user experience on board, guests retain a connection with the sea and the outdoors throughout the vessel. Touches include a beach club, swim platform and balconies at near-water level in addition to skylights and large windows for ample lighting and views to the passing landscape.
Next up is the Burger 121 (37 meters) with a large main salon and dining area perfectly suited for entertaining, sharing meals or lounging. The galley is nicely sized as well. A well-appointed full beam, main-deck master stateroom features his and hers en suite baths. Four guest staterooms are also en suite, and an optional configuration reduces this number to three with a VIP or gym. The large pilothouse accommodates a settee and table that welcome visitors who desire an alternate place to relax. From here, a large open sundeck offers many options for entertaining and gathering—in sun or shade.
Burger doesn’t skimp on the 121’ crew quarters for six, located forward with a spacious crew lounge and galley. A tender garage aft of the engine room houses an 18’ tender and extends into a swim platform and beach area port and starboard. Her beam is 26’, and she draws 5’5”. She cruises at 22 knots and maxes out at 26.
Burger is expected to announce 88’ (27 meter), 100’ (30.48 meter) and 134’ (38 meter) raised pilothouse designs in the near future.
