Dyna Yachts has always been a builder with one foot respectfully tied to its venerable maritime history, and at the same time, an eye on the future. Located in Taiwan in Tainan City, Dyna was founded in 1986. Since then they have established a reputation as a yard that combines old-school craftsmanship, with an open mind to customization.
Dyna is one of the largest shipbuilders in Taiwan, and is well-known for providing motor yachts for the Asian, Australian and European markets. They have recently been making more of a mark with North American buyers, by tooling up for more modern designs and their willingness to build to order.
This is what has really excited 26 North Yachts about partnering with Dyna — that level of customization they offer. We saw this up-close and personal on a recent visit there. Unlike some of the larger builders that maybe let you choose from a few interior features or external materials, Dyna really does offer complete customization. They are open to internal layout changes, personal fixtures, finish options – they really want their clients to be involved in the process, and walk away knowing they are getting the boat they truly desire.
Euro Inspired – Taiwanese Built
Dyna has been building boats in the 51 -105’ range for the Asian market for more than three decades, however its 60’ Flybridge marks its first real attempt at European styling, targeting the European and North American markets.
Dyna introduced its 60’ Flybridge at the 2014 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, and it was extremely well received. The 60’ Flybridge has a three-stateroom layout including a full-beam master. It’s powered by Twin 600-horsepower Cummins diesels, and according to the builder, it can achieve top cruising speeds of over 25 knots.
Dyna 60 Aft Deck
As its first entry into a new line, the Dyna 60 is very impressive. You would be hard pressed to find a yacht of this quality, with these features, in this size and price point, from any other motor yacht builder.
Dyna Yachts continues to be extremely committed to the US market, developing new models for the future. Presently under construction are the 52, 60 and 68 with future models to come.
We recently visited the Dyna shipyard, and I can tell you firsthand that they are committed to master craftsmanship, sophisticated manufacturing facilities, and personalized service.
Dyna continues to show strong commitment to what American yacht owners are looking for with the construction of a Dyna 60, and 68 well underway, both of which will be delivered to Fort Lauderdale. On our recent trip there, along with these two boats, we saw them working on two new models that are expected to be delivered in the very near future.
As the exclusive East Coast dealers for Dyna Yachts, we are very excited about our developing relationship with a manufacturer that not only has a long history of building quality boats, but also listens, and is committed to building them to the requirements of our demanding market.
