Ferretti Group announced the Asia Pacific premiere of the Ferretti 800 in China boat shows Shenzhen and Xiamen. The model was originally premiered in autumn 2010 to wide acclaim in South America, the US and Europe. She was collaboratively designed by architect Gianni Zuccon from Studio Zuccon International Project, Ferretti Group engineering and Ferretti’s naval research center AYTD (Advanced Yacht Technology & Design). In the 800, Ferretti retains its signature styling with a nod to the future. Ferretti has focused on unparalleled spaces and fittings, owner privacy, crew functionality, generous interior spaces filled with light and an overall feel of a much larger yacht. The Ferretti 800 features several different versions of internal layouts, and to attract the Asia Pacific market, they have outfitted some areas for business and small receptions.
Beautiful teak flooring lines the spacious cockpit of the Ferretti 800, which also features a large sundeck bench with reclining back (which becomes a seat for the table, complete with small armchairs). A large dining area with U-shaped table, grill, refrigerator and two sundecks are popular gathering spots for guests. There is ample space for a tender. At the bow, the Ferretti 800 features another sundeck with large table and seating.

The main deck is brilliantly lit in daylight thanks to generously-sized and numerous windows ensuring maximum external visibility. Natural elm wood complements the natural surroundings of the sea as does walnut-lined oak flooring. Ferretti has skillfully configured the main deck to create two distinct areas for living and dining for eight without interrupting views. Glass doors separate the control area from the living spaces, protecting privacy of those on board. The raised helm station is located forward and port with a dinette/studio with two small sofas. The Ernestomeda-designed galley is located in the bow in the crew area in a lowered position.

Even below decks, Ferretti has considered and implemented solutions to allow the maximum amount of lighting inside and unique views of the sea outside—almost at sea level. Even at night, LED lighting in the interior spaces generously light the way. Owners and guests bed down in a full beam, stern master suite, two VIP cabins and an additional guest cabin. Another configuration (in a nod to the Asian market) features a large playroom and karaoke system in place of the original master with a wide salon towards the bow, replacing one of the two guest cabins.

Performance excels with two MTU M93 1823 mhp’s or, upon request, two MTU M94 1948 mhp’s. With the latter of these configurations and a hard top, the Ferretti 800 can reach max speeds of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 27.5 knots. With radar arch configuration, she’ll reach a max of 32.5 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots.
In addition to the premiere of the Ferretti 800 in the Asia Pacific market, a fleet of Ferretti Group yachts will be delivered to Phuket, Thailand in December and January for owners in and around the Andaman Sea and Southeast Asia. These include the Ferretti Custom Line 112 NEXT, a Ferretti 881 RPH and Pershing 82’ and Pershing 64’.
While not on 26 North Yachts’ Top 10 List, Ferretti is a recognized leader in design and construction of luxury motoryachts. Buyers of Ferretti yachts appreciate the fine Italian build, craftsmanship and design.
