About the Show
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is spread across six different locations, with the Bahia Mar hotel positioned as the hub. In recent years, the show’s organizer, Show Management, has made a more concerted effort to group similar vessels together to create easy-to-navigate categories such as CruiserPort, to explore long-range yachts, and the Superyacht Experience, for builders of vessels longer than 40 meters. Boaters looking to explore a new yachting segment or refresh their skills can attend specially tailored seminars, including cruising seminars at CruiserPort and sportfishing lessons at the Broward County Convention Center. This year, the 228-foot Seafair will be docked at the show and feature art and jewelry displays, a restaurant and bar, and a VIP lounge.
Having everything in one place. Whether you’re interested in browsing for new ideas or need to research a specific type of equipment, it’s easy to talk with representatives of all the major manufacturers on pricing, installation, or research. Some exhibitors even sell their products from their booths. For touring yachts, it can be possible to just walk aboard without an appointment if there isn’t a crowd, however if there’s a yacht you want to see a few phone calls in advance can schedule a tour and ensure you see your dream boat in person.
