Our 26 North team starts to get a bit jittery and anxious this time of year. No, not because of hurricane season (but we can see how you’d think that). This is about the time we start our countdown to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show! And this, year, we’re really excited to climb on board the new Horizon RP110.
Taiwan-based Horizon Yachts claims to redefine the raised pilothouse motoryacht with the launch of the RP110. Designed by J.C. Espinosa, the new RP110 sports a streamlined profile that provides an impressive interior volume. Horizon collaborated with Naval Architect Donald L. Blount to create an advanced double-chine hull for enhanced performance and maneuvering with ease over a wide range of speeds.
The interior layout allows for four staterooms and three crew cabins, in addition to a spacious salon, dining area for up to 10, and a highly coveted skylounge experience. Her beam measures 25’ with a draft of 6’. She’s equipped with twin CAT C32A 1900HP engines able to reach top speeds of 20 knots.
Hull number one, Andrea VI, has been purchased by an American owner currently in a 2006 Horizon E84. She’s been under construction for the last 16 months and will be sea trialed in August, making her October debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Horizon recently announced that they’ve got orders for hulls two and three.
