Hargrave Line Up at the 2014 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
Hargrave Custom Yachts recently announced their line up for this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. In addition to “previously enjoyed” models like the 101’ 2010 with sky lounge SEAVENTURE, 78’ 2003 with sky lounge SHEKINAH GLORY, 82’ 2007 with flush deck ADVENTURE US, they’ll have a great line up with 125’ 2013 GIGI II, 101’ 2014 SASSY, 76’ 2013 VICTORIANO , 94’ 2014 ADVENTURE US II and a 76’ 2015 new yacht. It’s no wonder they’re on our Top 10 Yachting Manufacturers List.
Taking a look at some of those newer models, the 76’ 2013 VICTORIANO, in addition to the new 2015 76’, are great entrees to Hargrave. Last year’s factory demo, fiberglass-hulled VICTORIANO is back again this year. Hargrave describes the interiors as chic, bold, trendy and dramatic. Showstoppers include the individualized, handmade tables (dining, cocktail and side tables) in the main salon in ebony veneer, Karelian birch burl and stainless steel. The salon also features plush, comfortable seating and a walk-up bar offering speedy access to libations. The galley features Hargrave’s signature country kitchen with center island and custom curved settee offset by a gorgeous solid teak plank floor and Kodiak granite. Forward of the salon to starboard is a day head appointed with a marble top in Pearlato Sicilia. The aft deck teak table seats five on cushioned chairs. Bench seating and an inviting sunpad will beckon guests forward to the bow. The three bar stools at the stand-up bar on the flybridge will undoubtedly stay busy. With barbeque area, plenty of ice, seating and tables, guests will never have to leave this level! VICTORIANO features a newly-designed Jack Sarin Hull with walk-around access for easy owner-operator line handling. She’s powered by twin Cat C-18 TAs (1150hp) that reach maximum speeds of 24 knots and cruise at 20 knots.
Next up, the Hargrave flush deck 94’ 2014 ADVENTURE US II boasts a main deck master and beautiful wood accents throughout. On hot, still days, guests and crew will appreciate the enclosed flybridge with hard top and air-conditioning. They’ll also appreciate the convenient day head on this level. ADVENTURE US II features an on-deck master with king-sized berth, walk-in closet and ensuite head with two sinks. Down below a forward VIP reveals a gloss maple birdseye wood interior, generous king berth and walk-in closet. The port guestroom’s Toseva wood interior enhances the twin convertible / day bed set up, and the same wood replicates in the standard guest twin stateroom (converts to queen). Crew is accommodated aft in a captain’s cabin, crew cabins, ensuite heads and crew lounge for up to four. The salon offers a walk-up with wine storage.
Hargrave’s 101’ 2014 SASSY reflects the beautiful yet practical designs of Fort Lauderdale-based interior designer Shelley DiCondina). The aft deck seats six in moveable deck chairs and in a cushioned settee that follows the transom’s sporty curve with a wet bar and outdoor entertainment area steps away. Inside the main salon, interiors have been lightened a bit from previous versions of the 101’ using European cherry wood, rather than a darker variant in the American cherry. Both the lounge and dining area seat eight, leading forward toward a forward, full-beam galley. A starboard staircase off the galley delivers guests to a VIP cabin. The lower deck contains the remaining three ensuite cabins with full beam master aft and two guest cabins forward. Up on top, the large, airy flybridge lends itself to prime entertaining and lounging complete with spa and bar area.
Hargrave’s 2013 125’ RPH GIGI II is also back again at this year’s show. Her design reflects an updated, edgier build than is typical for Hargrave and appeals to today’s yacht shoppers that desire the uniqueness of a custom yacht—without the wait. Design considerations include spaciousness inside and out, elevated ceilings (eight feet on the aft main deck), ample light from large windows throughout and roomy entranceways. Guests are greeted inside with an airy salon for lounging, dining and gathering. Pass the dayhead and you’ll enter a generous, country-style galley (taking up almost half of the indoor space on this deck) with an attractive center island and 132-bottle, climate-controlled wine cellar. Just aft of the raised pilothouse (under partial hardtop cover) sit a lounge, bar, dining area, outdoor kitchen, spa tub and room for tender and deck chairs. Accommodations for eight are provided by a lower-deck, king-sized master aft with ample storage and three additional cabins to port. The Hargrave 125 RPH is a composite yacht with a full-displacement, fiberglass hull. The engine room contains twin 1,875hp Caterpillar C32 Acert diesel engines that top out at 19 knots and cruise at 15 knots.
