If there was a 26 North Yachts New Years’ must-have yacht list, Horizon’s RP110 would certainly have a spot. There are many reasons for this including its high-tech manufacturing process that produces high quality, semi-custom yachts from its state-of-the-art facility in Taiwan. The highly versatile RP110 model allows for a variety of layouts and amenities popular in the luxury yacht market.
RP110 hull number three PARADISE launched recently in October and was the largest yacht sold by Horizon in Australia so far. (Hull one ANDREA VI delivered about a year ago, followed by CARNIVAL LIBERTY, now ESTHER 7.) Exterior designs, including her graceful sweep, were created by J.C. Espinosa, and Donald Blount and Horizon joined naval architectural forces on the double chine hull. Her light-weight superstructure combined with intelligent hull design allow performance, shallow cruising and anchorage, stability at greater speeds and less resistance at lower speeds. South American walnut in satin finish with high gloss Ebony was specified for the interiors by the owners, contrasting with the furnishings and décor.
Horizon RP110 PARADISE Main Saloon
PARADISE was configured with entertaining a large group of family and friends in mind. Hence, she allows for a spacious and accommodating main salon that contains an L-shaped sofa and loveseat, leading into a formal dining area that will seat up to 10 guests. Big groups mean big galleys, and the RP110 provides an ample-sized, fully-equipped galley indeed midship and to port. In her five staterooms, PARADISE will accommodate up to 10 guests. The luxury master stateroom is located on the main deck and the remaining cabins are belowdecks. The guest quarters include two, mirrored VIP rooms midship and two, twin cabins forward. (This configuration demonstrates Horizon’s flexibility in build as the prior RP110s featured different arrangements.) Crew quarters for six are further aft on the lower deck. Up top on the flybridge, it’s all about the entertaining as PARADISE can comfortably accommodate up to 20 at a dinette! An additional helm station is situated starboard. Word is that she will top out at 22 knots and cruise at 18 knots.

In addition to differing stateroom configurations, PARADISE also showcases other custom departures from her RP110 sisters. Considering her shallow cruising grounds around Australia, Horizon installed a Muir windlass system for stable, quality anchorage. The owner also specified that the hi/lo swim platform (constructed in lightweight materials) accommodate a custom tender, and hence it extends out to 12’2” with a load capacity of 3,300 lbs. The stern garage, aka ‘beach club’, opens with a hydraulic transom door or independently through a smaller, centerline, watertight door.
