IT’S OFFICIAL: The 1st annual Naked Warrior Project Fishing Tournament will be taking place on Saturday, March 9th in Pompano Beach. We are excited – and honored – to be co-hosting this amazing event. It sure couldn’t be for a better cause. The Naked Warrior Project, an exemplary non-profit, was founded to honor fallen Navy SEALs and other Special Operations forces who have sacrificed their lives in service to our nation, and to provide support to their families.
We first learned about this organization when John Owens, its founder, visited our Marina Bay headquarters a couple of months ago. During a meeting that few of us will ever forget, John discussed the toll that nearly two decades of non-stop war have taken on the Special Operations community. Aside from being a retired member of Navy SEAL Team 3, John understands this issue like few others possibly could. His brother, Ryan Owens, was a highly-decorated Navy SEAL who was killed in action in January 2017 during a covert anti-terrorism mission. Naked Warrior Project was started in his honor.
March 9th will be all about having a ton of fun and raising as much money as possible for a supremely worthy cause. There are many updates to come, but these are the key things to know for now:
1) Registration will be opening up soon
2) The tournament entry fee is $450
3) All proceeds will go to Naked Warrior Project
4) Sponsorship opportunities are available
5) A kick-off party is planned for March 7th at The Sands Deck
6) More info to come – call us at 954-900-9988 with any questions in the meantime.
