There are a lot of “hot spots” in the Northeast during the summer – like Sag Harbor, Martha’s Vineyard, and Newport. But Nantucket, in our opinion, is right up there with the best of them. The town’s laid-back charm, bountiful beaches, and terrific restaurant scene are second-to-none.
Several members of our team spent the long Labor Day weekend there, so we can confirm this from recent experience. And we’re happy to report that Nantucket’s boat basin was practically overflowing with boats – from 25′ sailboats to 40 & 50-meter motor yachts. Not surprisingly, there were an inordinate number of Hinckley yachts in the harbor. But, on the larger side of things, it’s worth noting that Westport also had a strong presence – you’ll notice HONEY, a 164′ model, as well as DOUBLE EAGLE, a 112′ one, just in the pics below.
Of course, Benetti, Feadship, Horizon and the other usual suspects had at least one boat on the water as well. Sounds good to us. Hope to see you in Nantucket next season!
