Azimut Yachts was founded in 1969 by Paolo Vitelli and rapidly developed a solid reputation in the pleasure boating niche. In 1985, Azimut took over Benetti Brothers, known for their classic lines and luxurious yachting interiors, and strategically launched about 60 different yacht models over the next two decades.
The Italian Yacht builder continues to reinvent itself with a commitment to innovation and new models. This can be seen in our recent report on the new Azimut 72.
The latest news from Azimut is a revealing look at a new superyacht design, the 115ft Grande 35 Metri.
The Azimut Grande 35 Metri
The Azimut Grande 35 Metri yacht is currently under construction at the builder’s facility in Italy. She is expected to be completed by the end of 2016, and is on schedule.
According to the builder, the Grande 35 features exterior design by Stefano Righini and sophisticated interior design from renowned Roman designer and architect, Achille Salvagni. A prime example of the elegance and performance Azimut is known for, the Grande 35 is powered by twin MTU 16V2000 M93 engines, providing her with a top speed of 25.5 knots and a cruising speed of 21 knots.
Other than the latest renderings, included here, the builder has not provided too many more details on the new yacht, but we will be sure to share any additional information as it becomes available.
