Say Hello to “Miss America”

We don’t often post about twenty-seven foot boats, so, when we do, you KNOW we’re talking about something special. That’s the case with “Miss America”, a 2012 27′ Winter Custom Yachts Cuddy located in Hubert, North Carolina (Go Pirates!). She’s asking $185,000 – a startlingly low number when you consider all that she has to offer.

First, this boat has speed – powered by Twin 2012 Yamaha 250 outboards, she cruises at 28 knots and tops out at 46 knots. Second, she can handle rough conditions with the best of them, thanks to her Carolina hull design and flair. No joke – she can maintain her cruise speed in much larger seas that one would think. Third (and then we’ll stop with the numbers), she just underwent a SERIOUS $70k refit – the list of new & updated items is literally too long for this post, but we’ll preview it by saying that her bottom & topside paint, Garmin touchscreens, and teak have been taken care of. Fine, one more – she now has Flir Night Vision too.

“Miss America” was built for the grandparents of Tim Winter and is currently owned by an experienced yachtsman. The kind of guy who understands maintenance and the “right way” to refit a boat. He also clearly understands pricing strategy, because this boat is priced to sell. Well worth a trip to Hubert!
