The world-renowned Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is only weeks away! This year MYS runs from Wednesday 9/27 and continues through Saturday 9/30, and some of the most highly anticipated superyachts are making a beeline for the festivities.
According to show promoters and the local press, “no less than 125 one-off superyachts will attend the show.” Here is a list of four of the most exceptional ones among them!
Areti – Areti is the latest superyacht from Lürssen Yachts, builders of several of the largest superyachts in the world. Measuring nearly 279 feet long, and with a beam of about 50 feet, Areti dwarfs many other superyachts, while utilizing its space to accommodate its owner and its guests in nothing but the utmost luxury!
Aurora – With innovative architectural solutions, by Rossinavi, together with designer Fulvio De Simoni, Aurora proves that size is not the only way a superyacht can impress. The well-known superyacht design pair have created what amounts to a high performance luxury automobile for the seas! Measuring 160 feet, Aurora may be dwarfed by superyachts such as Areti, however crafted from lightweight aluminum and using other design elements built for speed, what she lacks in size, she makes up for in performance. Aurora has a maximum speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots!
Home – Home is the latest in innovative designs from the Heesen shipyard. The 163 foot superyacht will be sure to excite MYS attendees with what has been described as its “unique and modern exterior” and “ultra-modern, high-tech interior design.” Home is billed as the world’s first Fast Displacement yacht with hybrid propulsion, making it very quiet, extremely comfortable and very fuel efficient.
Aquarius – At over 300 feet long, Aquarius by Feadship, will be one of the largest yachts at MYS. According to the builder, she “combines a conventional bow with a sleek superstructure, as well as large windows to allow plenty of light into the interior. Cruising at 12 knots, Aquarius can accommodate 14 guests in spacious modern cabins.
Cloud 9 – Built by CRN, and delivered in May, the 250ft Cloud 9 is not exactly making her premier at MYS, yet she has been making waves in the area, and her arrival at the show is highly anticipated. She is a few months into her first season as a luxury charter yacht in the Mediterranean and wowing all those who step aboard with her wealth of amenities and cutting-edge style. It is presumed her appearance is to showcase her as a charter yacht for the Ultra High Net Worth Individuals in attendance.
The Monaco Yacht Show is generally recognized as one of the world’s premiere yachting events.
