The super high-end Boca Raton Resort & Club, a Waldorf Astoria property, is one of our favorite hotel & marina combos in all of South Florida. Maybe even the country. Many of our clients stay there when they’re in town, and it rarely disappoints. The Yacht Club, a 112-room boutique hotel within the larger 350-acre resort complex, is particularly impressive. Located right on Lake Boca, this hotel-within-a-resort just re-opened after a major renovation.
You can find out everything you ever wanted to know about the Yacht Club in this excellent Forbes article (link below), though the writer seems particularly hung up on the fact that the mini-bars can be customized prior to check-in. We don’t blame her – that’s a hell of an amenity. So too is the personal bath butler, a Maserati house car for shuttling to local spots, and our favorite part of the resort – a massive wave simulator, perfect for surfing practice, called “FlowRider”.
The 32-slip marina at the Boca Resort is nothing to sniff at either. You can’t beat the location (just off the Hillsboro Inlet) and yachts up to 170 feet can dock there. That works for most of our clients. But you don’t need to be megayacht-wealthy to stay at The Yacht Club – nightly rates start at a (somewhat) reasonable $650. Hope to see you there soon!
