As 2016 begins, it is time to start looking forward to the wave of annual boat shows that grace South Florida throughout the year. The show that kicks of the season is the Miami International Boat Show, this year scheduled for the Presidents Day Weekend – February11–15, 2016.
This year’s show promises to be bigger than ever, with a strong market producing many manufacturer debuts, including some “thunder from down under.” Australian luxury yacht builder, Riviera, recently announced its new 5400 Sport Yacht will make its world debut at the Miami Boat Show.
The Riviera 5400 Sport Yacht
The Riviera 5400 is truly representative of the spirit of excellence and awe inspiring design that the brand is known for. Some details of the 5400 were revealed to adoring crowds at the 2015 Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show in anticipation of her World Debut. The finishing touches have all been made for her coming out party in Miami!
According to the company, the 5400 keeps in the tradition of excellence and craftsmanship yachtsmen expect from Rivera, however, she also represents some “fresh thinking” in design and technology. “Stepping on to the wide hydraulic boarding platform you’ll immediately notice the tender garage, the door of which opens at the touch of a button. Here, an optional 10.8ft Brig tender with permanently mounted 20hp outboard can be easily launched or retrieved with the built-in electric winch. Continuing on up through either of the wide stainless steel transom gates and into the expansive 122 ft cockpit, you’ll also appreciate the evolution of the luxury indoor/outdoor, single-level living design for which our Sport Yacht series is both internationally renowned and highly awarded.”
The 5400 features a full-beam master stateroom amidships, with a king-sized walk-around bed with premium innerspring mattress and new feature timber headboard.
Riviera chairman Rodney Longhurst said in a statement to the press, “This striking and remarkably roomy avant-garde design epitomizes the Riviera ethos of excellence that is embodied in every yacht created in our world-class manufacturing facility on Australia’s Gold Coast.”
The 2016 Miami International Boat Show
Of course the new Riviera 5400 will not be the only boat debuting at the Miami International Boat Show. Expect to see sport boats, cruisers, yachts and super yachts from many manufactures, as well as acres and acres of equipment and marine accessories.
