As we have reported throughout 2017, UK based Princess Yachts has been on an upswing, introducing several new models, including the highly anticipated Princess 62 Motor Yacht, which they premiered to major accolades at the recent at Cannes Yachting Festival. Not to rest on its laurels, the British yacht maker recently revealed details of their next major release – the Princess S78 Sports Yacht – to Boat International. According to the article, the first luxury motor yacht in the S78 series is due to debut in January 2018, at the Boot Dusseldorf boat show.
The 78 foot motor yacht follows in the footsteps of the yacht maker’s successful launches of the S60, S65 and S72 models, which have been gradually introduced over the past three years. This in-house design combines the benefits of a flybridge with the sporty profile and large sunroof of a sportscruiser.
More on the New Princess S78 Sports Yacht
According to the report in Boat, some of the key features of the new offering from Princess Yachts include: “a highly flexible cockpit, which features sliding seating, creating several options for entertaining. Two large sunpads aft are ideal for those looking to soak up some rays and the transom conceals a 15 foot tender garage.”
In addition, “all of the accommodations are situated belowdecks with an amidships owner’s suite that stretches across the entire 18 foot beam. Two further double cabins and a portside twin cabin means she is designed to accommodate eight people, while the aft crew quarters allows for a staff of two people.”
She is powered by a pair of 1,900hp MAN V12 engines that promise an exhilarating top speed of 39 knots. Other superyacht projects to look for from Princess in the year ahead are new hulls from their flagship Princess 40M series, which has recently spawned a seventh hull called Mirage IV.
