Since 1964, Westport Yachts has been a pioneer in composite construction. Today, Westport Yachts is one of the largest and most popular producers of 85- to 164-foot fiberglass luxury motor yachts.
Due to their use of “space age” composite materials, Westport Yachts are lighter in weight and therefore faster and more fuel-efficient than vessels of comparable size made of steel or aluminum. Westport Yachts are also quieter in their operation, less susceptible to corrosion, and offer excellent structural integrity thanks to their unique construction.
The Washington State based yacht builder has just launched the latest addition to its superyacht lineup, The Westport 125. The 125 sports a raised pilot house, and according to the Superyacht Times, she was “designed with a series of curved styling features giving the Westport 125 a distinctly modern and sporty exterior.”
More About the New Westport 125
Speaking with the Superyacht Times, Alex Rogers, Director of Sales of Westport Yachts said, “Launching a new yacht is always an exciting achievement for the entire Westport family. This particular launch makes us feel very proud because it is the new flagship in the series, and our most advanced yacht built to date.”
According to the builder, like all Westport Yachts, this newest version of the 125 boasts the latest in composite fiberglass yacht construction technologies, and has been “specifically engineered to optimize comfort, interior and exterior spaces.”
The new Westport 125 luxury motor yacht, named the Black Gold, is currently undergoing sea trials in preparation for her debut at the upcoming Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show 2016 in November.
