Is this yacht home to a $460 million painting?
Legend has it that Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman – the 34 year-old de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia – saw “Serene”, a 2011 134-meter Fincantieri, while on vacation in the South of France a few years ago, and decided that he HAD to have it. So he plunked down $550 million to make that happen. But that’s not even where it gets interesting…
No, the real mystery concerning “Serene”, is whether or not she is home to the most expensive painting in the world: Leonardo Da Vinci’s “Salvatore Mundi”, acquired at auction for $460 million in November 2017. The Crown Prince, known as “MBS” to his friends & enemies alike, was reportedly the buyer.
However the whereabouts of the Da Vinci masterpiece after it left Christie’s auction house in New York remains a complete unknown – if it’s not on the 134-meter Fincantieri “Serene”, WHERE IN THE WORLD is it? Check out this article for some clues: https://bit.ly/373oxvS
