Luxury Yacht Insight

With the economy rebounding we are getting many calls asking how much yacht 5-7 million USD buys in today’s market place. While we can only estimate selling prices we do know the asking prices.

Below is a list of yachts around 100 feet in length, 2005 model year or newer, and available for sale through the brokerage market with asking prices in the 5-7 million range. Please only use this information as a guideline, every yacht is different and speaking with one of our yacht brokers will help you find the proper yacht for your needs.

100’ Hargrave Raised Pilot House and Sky-Lounge Motor Yacht

Hargrave calls their enclosed bridge yachts sky-lounges, but she looks like a mini tri-deck. The RPH is the Hargrave model that sets our hearts alight, featuring much more traditional proportions, with tons of outdoor space. This specific Hargrave 100 RPH features two masters, one on the main deck with the second one aft on the accommodations deck. It has great crew accommodations and plenty of space for a growing family. If you are looking for a long-term solution to your yachting needs look no further. If you journey in cold weather get the sky-lounge, but if you chase sunshine opt for the raised pilot house. There are two 2009 Hargraves for sale with asking prices around 7m USD.

Rayburn 100 Motor Yacht

This 100’ Rayburn was probably the most expensive boat on this list when new. She is a 2008 asking 7.99m USD, higher than our top limit but we had to include her because she is such a nice yacht. Her finally executed traditional interior will even make the Italians jealous. She is in great shape and her rugged good looks will stand the test of time. If you like traditional boats and quality craftsmanship look no further the this Rayburn 100!

Benetti Tradition 100 Motor Yacht

This Benetti Tradition 100 is different than all of the yachts on this list. Benetti 100s are very large for their size due to their 23.5’ beam and can accommodate a crew of six. This yacht was built with abundant onyx and gorgeous woodwork throughout. The Benetti 100 is more of a slow cruiser, but that will give you more time to enjoy the amazing amount of outdoor living space. This Benetti 100 Tradition was built in 2005 was refit in 2010 and is asking 5.9m USD.

Westport 98

The 98’ Westport has a lot of the same features of the Westport 112’ but in a shorter package. They are only built to order so finding a used one can be difficult. They share the same profile and guest layout as the 112’ Westport but with slightly scaled down proportions. While it is a big boat with lots features they are easily run with their crew of three. If you like this boat you consider the Westport 112, especially since used ones can now be found for less than 7m USD.

100’ Hatteras Motor Yacht

The newest Hatteras 100 on the market is a 2005 with a lot of very good equipment onboard. These yachts have a 20 knot cruise speed and feature very nice fly-bridges with plenty of space for toys. There are currently three boats on the market so availability is not an issue. The asking prices of these Hatteras 100 Motor Yachts vary between 3.5 and 5.3m USD.

Cheoy Lee 100 Global Series

The only Chinese built boat on our list is 103’ overall and features a large cockpit and enclosed pilot house. She has a very unique layout featuring a dining/observation lounge between the main deck and the enclosed bridge. With her 5150 gallon fuel capacity this Cheoy Lee 100 would be our choice for long distance cruising. This 2007 model is the least expensive boat on the list at 4.75m USD.

Johnson 103 Motor Yacht

The 103’ Johnson features a huge on-deck master and gorgeous outdoor dining area on the fly-bridge. One of the largest and most unique vessels in this size range makes this yacht ideal for chartering. Expect this Johnson 103 to have a range of 600nm at its cruise speed of 16 knots. The 2008 model is asking 6.2m USD.
