Princess Yachts Reports Steady Increase in Profits
Princess Motor Yacht Sales, based in Southampton, UK, says after returning to the black in 2014, they have shown steady growth, and 2016 has been very profitable thus far.
The company is generally recognized as the world’s largest seller of motor yachts manufactured by Plymouth-based Princess Yachts International. The upward swing for Princess Yacht sales are reflective of our recent report on general increases in sales across the industry.
Financial statements that were filed in May 2016, hailed the “healthy uplift” in profitability, but warned that “economic conditions had been relatively muted and will be impacted by the EU referendum, in which Britain voted to leave the union.”
It added however, that “The business is now operating from a more robust operation base than hitherto, which should stand it in good stead to meet the challenge of further enhancing profitability…”
Originally named Marine Projects Ltd., Princess Yachts launched its first vessel, a 31-footer, in 1965 in Plymouth, United Kingdom. Princess enjoyed monumental success with the Princess 32 model, selling over 1,200 and establishing its renowned reputation for timeless elegance and quality shipbuilding.
Today, Princess is known for using a pioneering Bernard Olesinski hull design and cutting-edge production and engineering techniques to produce higher speeds, greater fuel efficiency, and extended cruising ranges.
What Else is New From Princess Yachts?
In addition to reporting steady growth, Princess has recently introduced new models across several product lines. As we recently reported, the builder was proud to unveil its new S65. Other new models include the Princess 75, a V48, and the award winning, Princess 35M. And, they have just launched one of their first true “mega-yachts,” the 100 foot Princess 30M.
All of these new offerings are exceptional examples of the motor yacht builder’s commitment to innovation, and designing some of the most technically-advanced, yet aesthetically appealing yachts the world has ever known.
