Island Odessey: Greece

With less than 10 percent of its islands inhabited, Greece offers a lifetime of exploration. It’s no wonder that island-hopping is a favorite European pastime, with small airports and helipads making it easy to embark from almost anywhere.

Day 1

Athens to Kea

Our journey begins in the ancient ruins of Athens before embarking by sea to Kea – a quiet island in the far western Cyclades. Swimming, beachfront drinks, valley walks and whitewashed villages are all on the menu.

Day 2

Kea to Syros

We then head to Syros, once a wealthy port town, and now home to colorful buildings and pale blue domes. Here we can explore coves and get a taste of truly local Greek cuisine before setting sail for the glamor of Mykonos.

There’s no better way to appreciate the whitewashed village of Mykonos than coming into port by yacht. The island caters to wealth, with Haute boutiques, fine dining and chic nightlife, but it also has a history worth exploring.
