The Sunseeker 155 is the largest model made by the venerable British yacht builder. The first 155 model, named Blush was delivered in 2014. Sunseeker recently announced the delivery of the second vessel in the Sunseeker 155 range, Princess AVK.
Though the same model, the Sunseeker 155 has evolved and undergone substantial changes in the two years since the delivery of her sister ship. Some of these differences are noticeable right away. The Princess AVK features a simple all-white exterior with a subtle light grey waterline accent, which immediately sets her apart from the blue-hulled superyacht Blush.
Both 155 models were on display at the MYBA Charter Show held in Genoa, Italy, in early May.
Features of the Latest Sunseeker Yacht
Speaking to Superyacht Times, Julian Sincock, Captain of the AVK, described the differences between the two luxury motor yachts. Sincock said the owner of the second Sunseeker 155 was familiar with the Blush, but he wanted to make some modifications for his purposes. “The first thing that he wanted to change was to include six guest cabins. Blush has five and he wanted to be able to accommodate 12 guests without Pullman berths. The second thing was that he wanted a traditional decor, so they are the big two things he learned from Blush. In the owner’s cabin on board this yacht, the owner wanted large windows to make the area light and airy, which is a feature he also took to the VIP cabins.”
Sincock went on to say that it was these very differences between the two sister yachts that allows them to both be available for charter experiences, and not compete with one another. In fact, Sincock says that the yacht was built with chartering in mind. This has been an on-going trend, with more and more new yacht buyers realizing how they can use charter income to offset their costs of yacht ownership.
