Curtis was raised in the greater Detroit area of Michigan on the Great Lakes fishing, water skiing, restoring boats, playing hockey and taking long boating journeys with his family. His love of the water began at a very early age in his life. He began working at a local marina at the age of 11, fueling and cleaning boats. Curtis graduated with an Engineering degree from Lake Superior State University and worked in several Automotive and Power plants. He realized his love for boating was strong and the sea kept calling him. Curtis left the corporate world and started a management company overseeing service on boats with his knowledge and knowing the importance of customer service. With his vast array of experience in both owning and captaining various vessel types, he turned to a full time yacht broker.
He holds a USCG 100 ton masters and a USCG Great Lakes license. Curtis resides in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, and travels where the next boat leads him. He spends most of free time on the water with his family and friends while restoring his current home.
