Marian Walker
Charter Manager
Marian Walker brings her vast travel knowledge and love of the marine environment to serve as 26 North’s in-house charter specialist. Born and raised in Northern California, Marian began her yachting career off the Southern California coast of Newport Beach and Dana Point. She is a certified diver and has a Marine Science degree from Saddleback College in Mission Viejo. She would later hone her skills to open an underwater diving service in Dana Point Harbor, becoming the only female in her industry to do so. She has cruised the waters of Southern California, Baja California, the Sea of Cortez, Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula, the Bahamas, Panama, the Galapagos, the Caribbean and the waters of Southern Spain.
“Charter clients are my #1 priority, and putting them on the perfect yacht for that fun-in-the-sun vacation is what I strive to achieve—to have them come back every year for a new adventure in different destinations of the world,” she says.
Marian has been in the yachting industry for more than 40 years and calls travel her “backbone.” She has been a member of the International Yacht Broker’s Association (IYBA) since 1995 and sits on the IYBA CPC Charter Professional’s Committee panel since 2004, remaining very active in all aspects of the yachting community events.
