Rupert Covell

Rupert Covell is an experienced yacht broker and maritime professional based in South Florida, known for his deep knowledge of yachts, sailing, and the luxury marine market. Born and raised in England, Rupert’s passion for the sea began early—his grandparents introduced him to sailing at the age of three, and he went on to compete in yacht racing across Europe and Asia, gaining hands-on experience on a variety of sail and performance vessels.

After completing his degree and initially working in insurance and private jet brokerage in London, Rupert returned to pursue his seafaring career full-time. He served as a captain on everything from Beneteau racers to large catamarans and motor yachts, he has completed two trans-Atlantic crossings, and most recently was captain of a Pershing 70 performance cruiser.

Transitioning ashore, Rupert became a licensed yacht consultant and broker, where he applies his extensive sailing and sea-going experience to help clients buy, sell, charter, and explore luxury yachts. His brokerage approach blends technical insight with personal service, drawing on real-world knowledge of vessels, global cruising grounds, and market dynamics.”

I live by Port 32, very close. My wife is a Nurse Practitioner at the ‘Neurology Institute’ in Ft Lauderdale, i have a yellow lab and 2 kids under 3.
