Turkish Yacht Maker Launches New Motor Yacht
Turkish Yacht maker Su Marine has a reputation for designing luxury motor yachts that combine the aesthetic of classic wooden yachts, with a modern flair. From start to finish, Su Marine is known to bring the very best designers, materials, and craftsmanship to every project. As you can see in the following video just released by the builder, their latest launch, the 117 foot CMY 36, is a prime example of what discriminating yacht buyers have come to expect from Su Marine.
The classically-styled motor yacht, known as Laniakea features rounded portholes and plenty of timber detailing. Other vital statistics include a 26 foot beam and a maximum draft of about 7 feet.
Other Unique Features of the Su Marine CMY36
According to Boat Magazine, Osman Tanju Kalaycıoğlu of Taka Yachts was responsible for her exterior design, as well as the naval architecture. Laniakea was built from a cold molded wood/epoxy hull and superstructure at the Istanbul-based yard. She is a tri-deck displacement yacht, with a total interior volume of 275GT. On-board guest accommodations are split between seven opulent cabins, while her crew quarters allows for a staff of two. She sports a pair of 591hp diesel engines that push Laniakea to a cruising speed of 11 knots, topping out at 13.5 knots. What’s more, her total fuel capacity of nearly 8000 gallons, makes her ideal for long range cruising opportunities.
